Can the challenge keep them in Belconnen?

Canberra's local Home Improvement Powerhouse in business since 1972 is about to face it's biggest test in Belconnen with the Wesfarmers-owned Bunnings hardware chain set to open a new $25 million warehouse outlet in late 2005/early 2006. Development work is well advanced on the site behind the Belconnen Markets on Lathlain Street. Road works will soon also begin to provide access to the site from Belconnen Way, perhaps introducing another set of traffic lights along the popular through-fare to/from the City.

So can Belconnen support both chains and what will this mean to local jobs at Magnet Mart Belconnen, the old Bunnings site on Nettleford Street and keeping prices cheaper?
